Pasadena City College men's track and field sprinter Anthony Pequeno beat his state's fastest time in the 200 meters on Saturday at the Cerritos Open. Pequeno posted a season-best 21.67 seconds to place second overall behind an unattached runner. His previous high this season was 22 flat.
Buoyed by victories in the 100 and 200 meter dashes by sophomore star Anthony Pequeno and another first place in the triple jump by freshman Noah Fry, the Pasadena City College men's track and field team continues to impress after a strong team performance at the El Camino 5-Way Challenge meet held Feb. 21.
